MARDO’s Protection Program aims to reduce protection risks, strengthen community coping mechanisms, and ensure access to safe, inclusive, and rights-based protection services.
Armed conflict, displacement, poverty, and social inequality expose individuals and communities in Somalia to heightened protection risks, including violence, exploitation, abuse, and exclusion from essential services.
About Our Protection Work
MARDO’s Protection Program addresses protection risks faced by conflict-affected and vulnerable populations, with particular attention to women, children, persons with disabilities, and displaced communities. We deliver protection services that are community-based, survivor-centred, and grounded in humanitarian principles to prevent harm and support recovery.
MARDO delivers protection interventions through community-led and rights-based approaches that prioritize safety, confidentiality, and dignity. We work closely with communities and partners to strengthen protective environments and ensure access to essential services.
