Policies & Safeguarding

MARDO is committed to the highest standards of safeguarding, accountability, and ethical conduct. We work to prevent harm, protect affected populations, and ensure safe and accessible reporting mechanisms.

MARDO is committed to preventing sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment, and all forms of misconduct. Safeguarding is integrated across our programs, partnerships, and operations to ensure the safety, dignity, and rights of all individuals we work with and serve.
This commitment applies to all MARDO staff, volunteers, partners, and representatives.

Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA)

MARDO has zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse. We take all allegations seriously and respond through confidential, survivor-centred procedures that prioritize safety, respect, and confidentiality.
Safeguarding concerns can be reported without fear of retaliation.

Accountability to Affected Populations

MARDO is accountable to the communities it serves. We promote transparency, participation, and feedback throughout the project cycle, ensuring that community members can safely raise concerns, provide feedback, or submit complaints.
