Education

MARDO’s Education Goal : To expand equitable access to quality, safe, and inclusive education, strengthening resilience and long-term opportunities for children and youth.

Prolonged conflict, displacement, and climate shocks continue to disrupt access to education in Somalia, placing children and youth at risk of learning loss, exploitation, and exclusion.

About Our Education Work

MARDO’s Education Program supports access to quality learning opportunities in both emergency and development contexts. We work with communities and local education systems to promote safe learning environments, strengthen teaching capacity, and ensure that vulnerable children—especially girls and displaced learners—are not left behind.
MARDO delivers education interventions through community-led and child-centred approaches that promote inclusion, protection, and accountability. Our programs are designed to support continuity of learning during emergencies and strengthen education systems for long-term impact.
