Impact Report: Integrated Nutrition Programming and Maternal-Child Support

Project Performance

The nutrition programme delivered significant, life-saving impact across targeted communities by integrating treatment for Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM), prevention services, and sustained caregiver support. Through a comprehensive package of community-based interventions, the programme strengthened child survival, improved maternal nutrition, and reduced the risk of malnutrition among the most vulnerable populations

Key Achievements

  • 286,118 children were admitted to the Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP) and received essential treatment for moderate acute malnutrition.
  • 84,748 moderately malnourished pregnant and lactating women (PLWs) were enrolled in TSFP and provided with therapeutic nutrition support.
  • To strengthen malnutrition prevention, 228,553 children under two years were enrolled in the Blanket Supplementary Feeding Programme (BSFP) and received specialized nutrition supplements.
  • 100,110 pregnant and breastfeeding women were supported through the BSFP to prevent deterioration of nutritional status.
  • Under the Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) programme, 55,068 children under two and 13,946 pregnant and breastfeeding women accessed integrated nutrition and health services
